Magnetically dependent plasmon drag in permalloy structures

نویسندگان

چکیده

Significant photovoltages are observed in permalloy grating-like structures response to pulsed laser light illumination. Electrical signals enhanced at plasmon resonance conditions and show a clear dependence on the magnetic field with characteristic hysteresis. Estimations that effect could not be explained solely by laser-induced heating. Alternative mechanisms discussed.

Interface and temperature dependent magnetic properties in permalloy thin films and tunnel junction structures.

Magnetization dynamics and field dependent magnetization of different devices based on 25-30 nm thick Permalloy (Py) films: such as single Py layers (Py/MgO; Py/CoFeB/Al2O3) and Py inserted as a magnetic layer in magnetic tunnel junctions (Py/CoFe/Al2O3/CoFe; Py/CoFeB/Al2O3/CoFe; Py/MgO/Fe) have been extensively studied within a temperature range between 300 K down to 5 K. The dynamic response ...

Radiation drag effects on magnetically dominated outflows around compact objects

The effects of radiation drag force on the structure of relativistic electronpositron and electron-proton outflows are considered within the one-fluid approximation. It is shown that for a magnetically-dominated outflow the drag force does not change the particle energy inside the fast magnetosonic surface. In this region the action of the drag results in a diminishing of the Poynting flux, not...

Plasmon enhancement of Coulomb drag in double-quantum-well systems.

We derive an expression for the drag rate (i.e., interlayer momentum transfer rate) for carriers in two coupled two-dimensional gases to lowest nonvanishing order in the screened interlayer electron–electron interaction, valid for arbitrary intralayer scattering mechanisms, using the Boltzmann transport equation. We calculate the drag rate for experimentally relevant parameters, and show that f...
